Baby On the Go
Alex has been crawling for a few weeks now and she is extremely mobile. She is all over the place, pulling herself up on chairs and tables, and crawling after the cats, especially Thor. She is even walking---sort of. Grandma Lael bought her a nifty wooden cart that she can support herself with and walk across the room. She is extremely proud of herself, as the video evidence proves it. Here's a couple of short videos with her and the walker and some photos of her moving around the house.

Your kid is always wearing the cutest clothes--she's a charmer!
ReplyDeleteTell me about the cart . . . we made need to get one of those one of these days. Right now the kid is a roller, though I suspect it may soon progress to more!

Alex rolled forever before she crawled.
ReplyDeleteThe cart was purchased used, for $10 at one of those mega-baby-used places, I cannot remember the name. It's some German made toy, so you know it is efficient. Nikki said they are over $100 brand new and this one looks brand new, so it was a great deal. The nice thing about it is that it really heavy, so it is stable and doesn't flip backwards on her.
As far as cute clothes go, it is a lot easier for girls because we can also put her in boys clothes when we are feeling tomboyish. But there are a lot of great clothes for boys and girls that are made by local crafters. In December there is a great event call No Coast Craftorama at the World Market. There's dozens of local artists/crafters and they make lots of cute kids clothes.
