First Word

Alex said her first word on April 7. She said "mama." Now, she has been experimenting with her sounds for a while now, and has been making sounds that were similar to mama and baba for a bit now. But I was sitting on the floor with her in her room, getting her ready for a bath. As I was undressing her, she got fussy and started to cry. Nikki when down to her and she threw her arms up and emphatically said "mama" as she looked up to her.

The next morning, when I was getting her ready for the day she kept looking directly at me saying "baba." I was hoping this was her name for me, but it turns out that everything is baba at the moment. Duke the dog, Thor the cat, toys. At least I am in good company.
